The single tree implement that originally broke our land.
The name of the ranch was born from a single tree found on the property (circa 1917), which is a style of horse drawn single hook up used for different implements, such as a plow.
This actual tree is on display in the ranch office as a reminder of the area’s heritage.
Specializing in Horse Care Since 1988
We are located on 1600 acres of ranch land, backing on to Kananaskis Country (406 forestry) with unlimited trails. We have large pastures and paddocks to suit your equine needs, with automatic waterers and twice daily feeding with top quality horse hay that we produce. Mares and geldings are kept separate. Passive and dominant horses are also separated again into group pastures.
Enjoy the friendly, relaxed environment and our sunny veranda with a gorgeous panoramic mountain view. Heated tack room with sitting area and washroom. Local farriers available, or use your own. Separate veterinarian and farrier area provided.
If you love trail riding, this is the place for you and your horse. Access to endless trails in the foothills of the Kananaskis. Just ride out straight off the ranch – no public crossings in your path, leaving you to enjoy the foothills and wildlife. Let us show you the trails to get you started, which are accessible year round. We have trails for all levels of riders. A picnic area is available for you on the ranch. However, you can pick your own spot off the many Kananaskis trails.
We offer trailering services for our boarders.
An experienced guide is available for riders who do not have horse transportation, but would love to get into the mountains to ride the high country. It’s only a 20 minute ride to the Little Elbow trail head in Kananaskis Country and a 30 minute trailer ride to Mesa Butte.
